Synaptix Systems Delivers Business Intelligence (BI) Strategy for Global Network Products Industry Customer
LADERA RANCH, California – July 2, 2010 – Synaptix Systems Inc., a leading strategy and solutions firm that helps clients understand & maximize return on their information technology (IT) and project investments, today announced the successful delivery of a Business Intelligence (BI) strategy engagement for a global Network Products industry client.
Prior to tackling the initiative with Synaptix Systems, the client had a limited-scale reporting capability that was based on decentralized pockets of data and outdated reporting software tools. While this system did provide accurate reporting, it involved a host of manual processes to gather the necessary data and to present it in a format that was understandable for both executives and mid-level managers. The system also lacked the capacity to provide certain key reports that could compare data across all business dimensions.
The client engaged Synaptix Systems to deliver a Business Intelligence strategy and roadmap that would incorporate an enterprise-wide Data Warehouse and a framework for understanding key performance indicators (KPIs). Synaptix utilized a Balanced Scorecard framework to identify key requirements and metrics for Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Customer Service and Order Management. Subsequently, the Synaptix team developed functional and technical architectures for the Business Intelligence platform, as well as a phased roadmap with BI tool recommendation (Oracle) and detailed project plan.
The client has now engaged Synaptix Systems to manage the implementation project for the BI platform, which includes both local and international team members. With project delivery taking place throughout the remainder of 2010, the client will incrementally realize benefits including better visibility into revenue and cost drivers, and a more accurate picture of its customer base.
