Synaptix Systems Delivers Information Technology (IT) Project Portal for Global Network Products Industry Customer
LADERA RANCH, California – December 23, 2009 – Synaptix Systems Inc., a leading strategy and solutions firm that helps clients understand & maximize return on their information technology (IT) and project investments, today announced the successful delivery of an IT Project Portal system for a global Network Products industry client.
Prior to embarking on the effort with Synaptix Systems, the client had a limited-functionality document management system in-place that focused mostly on providing a common repository for project documentation. The system was based on a partial implementation of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS). However, the system lacked a number of key elements needed to enable improved project reporting and executive-level visibility into overall project performance.
The client engaged Synaptix Systems to deliver an improved system that would (a) implement a number of extensions or enhancements to the MOSS-based Document Management System to accommodate a group of new feature requests from the client’s Chief Financial Officer and Legal department, and (b) deliver an IT Project Dashboard to better communicate project status/health, performance and risks.
Synaptix Systems’ team worked closely with the client to articulate and document concise requirements for the enhanced system and then designed, developed, tested and implemented the new software functionality. Due in large part to the success of the IT Project Portal initiative, the client has now retained Synaptix to deliver a Business Intelligence / Data Warehouse strategy and implementation roadmap for 2010.
