Synaptix Systems Delivers PMO Strategy and PMO Systems Implementation Roadmap for $3B Financial Services Customer
ALISO VIEJO, California – September 7, 2007 – Synaptix Systems Inc., a leading strategy and solutions firm that helps clients understand & maximize return on their information technology (IT) and project investments, today announced the successful delivery of a Strategic Plan & Changepoint Implementation Roadmap for the Program Management Office (PMO) at a global $3B financial services customer.
The Enterprise-level PMO at Synaptix Systems’ customer had selected Compuware’s Changepoint product as the foundation of its systems infrastructure, and subsequently engaged Synaptix to generate a Process & Systems Roadmap for the implementation of extended Project Management, Resource Management and Project Portfolio Management capabilities. The customer had already implemented a Time Reporting functionality and related procedures, but needed both strategic and tactical guidance on how to realize and maximize the value of the Changepoint offering.
Synaptix Systems teamed with the client’s PMO and IT organizations to detail a tailored Changepoint Roadmap that captured the company’s vision for the PMO system, the business & technical requirements for supporting that vision, and the architectural approach to implement the system in an incremental manner. Synaptix also addressed how to integrate the new system with internal legacy systems (Financial, Human Resources, etc.), how to define/prepare/load relevant data, and how to customize the system to handle unique customer business processes. Lastly, Synaptix delivered a detailed project implementation plan that laid out specific activities, resourcing, effort estimates, schedule, risks, dependencies, costs and training elements.
