Synaptix Systems Delivers Project Management Infrastructure & Tools Engagement for Major Healthcare Customer

LADERA RANCH, California – August 24, 2011 – Synaptix Systems Inc., a leading strategy and solutions firm that helps clients understand & maximize return on their information technology (IT) and project investments, today announced the successful delivery of a Project Management Office (PMO) process infrastructure and tools engagement for a national multi-billion dollar Healthcare organization.

After a twenty-five (25) year history as a successful health plan and medical clinic operator, Synaptix Systems’ client recently embarked on a high-growth phase that has taken it from a regional health services company to a national, publicly-traded Medicare & Medicaid health services organization. With this growth, the client has also seen a corresponding increase in the complexity and scale of its support system requirements. Over one-hundred new projects have been identified and/or kicked off over the past year alone, which has led to a new challenge in terms of both identifying financially pragmatic projects and delivering these projects successfully.

To address this challenge, Synaptix Systems engaged with our Healthcare client to build a formalized Information Technology (IT) Project Management Office (PMO) function. This effort included a range of activities, from helping to ‘sell’ the PMO concept/value to client executives to developing PMO processes & documentation templates to leading the implementation of a third party Project Management software platform. Ultimately, the new IT PMO is enabling our client to:

  • Understand whether proposed IT projects make financial sense and subsequently prioritize projects based on objective criteria
  • Deliver a higher percentage of IT projects on-time and on-budget
  • Gain visibility into project risks and to mitigate such risks
  • Better meet company goals & objectives in a rapid growth cycle
