Synaptix Systems Leads Clinical Data Centralization Project for Fortune 50 Healthcare Customer
LADERA RANCH, California – December 15, 2010 – Synaptix Systems Inc., a leading strategy and solutions firm that helps clients understand & maximize return on their information technology (IT) and project investments, today announced the successful delivery of the first phase of a large scale project aimed at centralizing and providing a unified view into all clinical information across numerous divisions within a Fortune 50 Healthcare industry client.
With a string of recent acquisitions, Synaptix Systems’ client has been growing rapidly into new lines of business and geographic markets. With this expansion, however, the client has also inherited over a dozen new software systems that perform different functions and that possess different types of valuable data. Some of this information contains elements that are redundant with data elements in existing client systems, while other information is brand new to Synaptix’s client.
The client turned to Synaptix Systems to manage the project that will deliver a new system providing a comprehensive view into all clinical data and the relationships between formerly disparate data. Synaptix has successfully managed the project’s first phase to completion, on-time and under budget. This project phase has delivered a common understanding (across various client organizations) of how clinical data is defined and related. This segment has also unified all of the information into a centralized repository with simplified access for a multitude of users. Synaptix has now kicked off the project’s next phase, which will deliver a suite of web applications that enable employees to query and analyze the aggregated data efficiently and effectively.
With the project’s first phase having been successfully completed, Synaptix Systems’ client is well on its way to realizing a number of incremental benefits, including:
