Synaptix Systems Re-Engineers Web-Based Reporting System for $120M Mortgage Lending Customer
ALISO VIEJO, California – September 3, 2005 – Synaptix Systems Inc., a leading strategy and solutions firm that helps clients improve business performance, today announced with a $120M NYSE-traded wholesale sub-prime mortgage lending client, the successful delivery of a project to re-engineer the company’s key web-based mortgage loan performance reporting system.
During a period of rapid growth from 2002 to 2005, the mortgage lender had built and implemented the reporting system in an incremental fashion, adding new reports, data & functionality as the needs of the business evolved. As the company expanded, the system’s business logic requirements and data had also grown increasingly complex. The combination of these facts had produced a system that (a) often delivered management reports showing incorrect information and (b) featured slow response times.
Synaptix Systems re-engineered the web-based reporting system to produce meaningful, timely and accurate reports information. These results were achieved by re-designing and implementing database structures, queries and stored procedures for 100+ reports. As these reports are relied upon by executive management for key strategic decisions, Synaptix Systems’ efforts have contributed to the mortgage lending client’s 160% quarterly growth rate and 41% year over year increase in loan production (to $3.16B for Q3 2005).
